No. Every character, every neighborhood, every murder is entirely fictional. The emotional truth of how violence affects the people who survive it comes from my professional work with real survivors, but the story itself is invented.

No. I write around a full time career in the criminal justice system, which means I write during late nights and stolen weekends.
